About Saleena
Saleena is a second-year student in the School Psychology PhD program at UMD. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with her B.S. in Experimental Psychology and a minor in Counselor Education in 2020. In 2023, she graduated from James Madison University's Masters in Psychological Sciences Program, where her research focused on the impact of parental relationships on adolescent and young adult emotion regulation and romantic relationships.
Saleena is a member of the Temperament and Narratives Lab within UMD's Department of Counseling, Higher Education, and Special Education. Her current research focuses on the associations among interpersonal emotion regulation, social competence, and temperament profiles. Outside of her research interests, Saleena enjoys hanging out at home with her two cats, cooking, hiking, and all kinds of reality TV.
