Pearl is a second-year doctoral student in the School Psychology program at the UMD. She received her B.S. in Statistics from the University of Michigan in 2022 and her M.P.S. in Clinical Psychological Sciences from UMD in 2024. Pearl is a member of the Bullying Prevention and Mental Health Promotion Lab within UMD’s Department of Counseling, Higher Education, and Special Education. Her research focuses on culturally responsive mental health interventions and understanding processes of risk and resilience among youth and families. Through her research, clinical, and teaching experiences, she values a collaborative, strengths-based approach that helps students better understand their own patterns and develop practical skills they can use in their everyday lives. Outside of school and research, Pearl enjoys running and playing word games.
