Lily Ulman is a rising junior at the University of Maryland, College Park, double-majoring in Psychology and Criminology & Criminal Justice. Through her work with organizations such as the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Playtime Project, and the Office of the State’s Attorney for Howard County, she has developed a strong interest in supporting children and families through both clinical and legal advocacy. This summer, she is participating in the Maternal and Child Health Careers/Research Initiatives for Student Enhancement–Undergraduate Program (MCHC/RISE-UP) at Kennedy Krieger Institute and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she is gaining experience in pediatric neuropsychology and Project HEAL, an education advocacy program that supports children with disabilities and their families. She is exploring the social determinants of health, developmental disabilities, and the intersection of clinical care, research, and community advocacy. Lily hopes to pursue a career in child clinical psychology and is passionate about improving outcomes for children and underserved communities.
