About Chad

Chad is a retired veteran having served a 20-year career in the Navy and received his

undergraduate degree in Psychology from Columbia College in April, 2023. He is currently

enrolled in the Master’s of Professional Studies in Clinical Psychological Science program at

UMD. Chad has a broad range of experience with his involvement in counseling

servicemembers; notably as a victim advocate and first responder, assisting victims of sexual

assault as well as work with those affected by problems stemming from the abuse of drugs and

alcohol. His research interests include the neuropsychological impacts of anxiety and depression

including their latent role in the breakdown of marriage and familial relationships. He is also

interested in how PTSD affects life quality.
