About Annika

Annika Quam is a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program, working with Dr. Lea Dougherty in the Big Emotions Across Development (BEAD) Lab. Annika received her BA in Psychology and Medicine, Health, and Society from Vanderbilt University, where she worked in the Stress and Coping Lab under Dr. Bruce Compas.

After graduating in 2022, she spent two years as a postbaccalaureate research fellow (IRTA) at the National Institute on Drug Abuse with Dr. Amy Janes in the Neuroimaging Research Branch. Annika’s research interests focus on the intersection of neuropsychology, early life adversity, and emotion regulation across childhood. Annika enjoys embroidery, reading, and biking.
